Getting Ready To Move To Michigan

We have had an interesting and exciting week. Today we were even blessed by a priest! We have had many boxes and balloons (oh, how we are fascinated by the balloons!). Packing is not so easy with baby. When she's sleeping you can only pack the "quiet" stuff, and when she's awake you have to be in the same room with her, or she gets bored.
Mommy took Danae out to lunch with Mel and Ian and Danny and Michelle and Uncle Tony. Danae enjoys fine dining the most when the crystal holds milk!Uncle Tony came back from the southern hemisphere with a beard! It's gone now, but we will always remember it with fondness.
Mommy and Daddy each had a night out. Daddy got a prime rib at Outback and played video games. Mommy went out with ALL her girlfriends.

Goodbye Florida friends! We will miss you!

So this is the last blog for a little while until we get settled. Now the family will get to see the monkey, and the friends will have to look at the blog to see her! (at least until they come and visit - hint, hint)

Happy Birthday Aunty Cat!!!

Aunty Cat turns 28 tomorrow, so Danae, Daddy and Mommy went to Aunty Cat's Mom Phylis's house for Meatballs and Cake (not at the same time). It was wonderful! Aunty Cat's a hair stylist, and swears she can do "something" with Danae's tail.
Then we went out drinkin'. This is what Danae looks like after 5 margaritas. She was drooling and telling everyone she loved them - well, gurgling at least.
Have you met my monkey?

One of these days, and probably soon, she's just gonna eat the camera. (so delicious and crunchy)

Labor Day Weekend and Uncle Aaron's Wild Pony Ride

We had a wonderful Labor Day weekend. We had a cookout over at Aunt Kathy and Uncle Aaron's house, we saw Brandon and Brian, and Jenny Debee, and we were licked by a dog!
But the best part, the part that made us giggle and squeal, was Uncle Aaron's wild pony ride. Does Danae like the pony ride?
Yes she does!
We had a nice bath as well. Mommy keeps trying to give us formula (that's a negative, ghostrider!) and put us to bed without the swaddle (negative as well - keep trying!). Makes us wonder if we'll be taking the bottle and wrapping up for bed when we're 18.
Probably not. Might as well enjoy it while it lasts, kid!

Yaaaahhh!

This week we have begun to talk - and by talk I mean vocalize in both a conversational gurle and what sounds alot like being yelled at by a drunken midget. It's cute when she smiling, but when she's mad you get the feeling that she's telling you something important and you're just not listening.
I think I can translate a little though..."I'm am the Queen of the Universe, bring me milk and objects that I may taste and make faces at."
"You may bring me outfits of pink and flowers, I may hang out with you for a little while, but then I will crank-out, and you will hand me to the Mommy or the Daddy forthwith!"
"Then I want wallets and jewelry...put them in the bouncie slowly..."
Of course, Daddy doesn't speak fluent baby. It could just be gas!

Happy Birthday Daddy

Okay, mommy's first blog, and Damon's first birthday as a daddy. Danae was very excited and took many naps in preparation.
Auntie Cat stopped by for a visit, it had been a long time since she gave us kisses and was going through withdraws.
Danae couldn't wait to open presents, in fact she started singing as soon as daddy got home.
After much fussing, Danae didn't want the day to end, birthday boy finally got to have his cake........

.....and eat it too.

Danae Flies To Michigan

Mommy, Daddy and Danae went to Michigan this week to see the boy GG and demand that he stop laying around in big white beds. It turns out he didn't even want to be laying around, and was just waiting for Danae to come see him!

We saw many wonderful things and saw many wonderful people! We flew in an airplane, we saw four generations of Corbett women and one Santo man became really fuzzy, and we saw a big dog carry a tree around!

Get out of big white beds, boy GG! I will sleep on the girl GG until you get up!

Aunty Jen wants to become siamese twins with Danae and practiced whenever she could.

We saw Grandma Sue and Grandpa Jerry.

We saw Grandma Fely who was very excited to see Danae, and matched whatever outfit Danae was wearing!

We saw Grandpa Ron who really wants Danae to be just like Daddy when he grew up .

We saw Grandma Linda and Grandpa Bill (who was thrilled to see us, and kissed us with his walrus mustache whenever he got the chance) .

Now we are relaxing at home. We were very good on the plane on the ride home. Mommy and Daddy had a better idea of what to expect and had everything ready.

The car ride home is another story completely.

Daddy And Danae Have A Wonderful Saturday

I don't know if it was the liberal usage of gas drops, or the new "belly-bounce" move, but Saturday was textbook. Got her in the crib by 9:00 - just like Mommy does!

Uncle Pauly and Uncle Joey stopped by just to say "hi". Uncle Pauly entertained Danae with stories about his career as a unicyclist.

She laughed.
