Happy Birthday Grandma Sue and Pigtails!

This Wednesday was Grandma Sue's Birthday! She turned 39! Yay Birthdays! Daddy missed the party but Danae told him all about it.

We have had a busy week! We have been packing (this may be the last blog until we get settled) and Mommy has been cleaning the house.

We would also like to thank eveyone for watching our movies! Now, if you google "Danae Marie", the first choice is one of her movies!

We stepped on our own shades and broke them, so now we have to borrow Daddy's. We still look pretty cool though.

Pigtails!

Sometimes we play with the kids outside. Everyone is much older though, and they are very fast...

I know this one is long, but I love how she gets into it.

Money, Crayons and Outside

Our favorite thing is now to dump out the coin jar in Mommy and Daddy's room and play with the coins while Daddy frantically tries to wrangle them. It's fun. I acted like I was pulling a penny out of her ear one time, and nows she listens to every penny!
Our second favorite thing is coloring. Eight colors of washable wonderfulness. We move from the paper (ideal) to the window (ok...cool...) to the cat door (ummm...) to the entertainment center (wait a minute!) to the T.V. (not cool!).

Third favorite thing? Going outside. We will drop pretty much anything to put on our shoes and little flower hat. Daddy doesn't know how well this will work in December or January.
Another in a series of Daddy and Danae pictures
This is the earliest one I could find from Aunty Jen's and Uncle Rusty's engagement party. She has made friends with the camera since.

These are experiments in letting Danae take movies. Daddy feels that she is an avante garde voice of the new american cinema. Daddy also feels she has excellent use of plot and theme.
Happy Birthday to Aunty Cat! She turned, like, 19 on Thursday.

She is doing very well, and we should be meeting little Phoenix on the 24th! Yay Babies!

Cleanin' Up The Hizzy

Mommy and Danae have been cleaning up the new house almost everyday. Aunty Jen was excited and thrilled to come and help...
... until the paint fumes drove her insane!

Danae , as noted, has been a champ with the drive there and back.

When we need a break, we head over to Aunty Jen's house and mess with her dog!

First we find the cell phone...

Then we make the dog talk on it....

Then we make him eat it! "Yummy, puppy!".
No new movies this week, but we'll make it up next week. Promise!

Words, Driving, and More Words!

This week we have started to say words in earnest! We say "happy" and "peace". We still mangle the word "banana" though. It sounds more like "meng".

We also fell asleep in our chicken this week. We woke up at 6:45 and by lunchtime we were whipped.
We have been driving to Port Huron almost everyday (45 minutes one way). We have been a trooper about it though.
When we went to pick up the keys for the house, we met the previous owner's previous neighbors. There were kids of all ages and we tried to hug all of them. Most of them (the 2-year-old and the 4-year-old in particular) had no idea what to make of our hugs, but the one year old loved us! Especially when we took his sucky out of his mouth an tried to put it in his eye!

Shots, More New Teeth, And Technology

First Off, Daddy would like to thank Mommy for blogging last week. Yay Mommy! I know you all thought it was actually Danae typing, but she was only hitting the space bar - repeatedly.

This week we got our 15 month shots. I thought she was good with shots until she was at least 16 years, but no. And these were doozies too. Her poor little legs hurt so bad, she wanted to be carried everywhere. She was much better the next day though...

Also, today on our walk we met a puppy, a cute little black lab (who didn't bite or jump or anything!) that prompted us to say "Buppy! Buppy!" all the way home. After we finished crying about the puppy going away, that is.

We don't have a bunch of pictures this week, but Daddy found a movie making program, and spent a little time on this:

The movie program also let me put up movies that were too long before, so with out further ado, I give you the Great Balloon Theft:

Did you notice how the little man's family kept yelling at him for not sharing? Poor kid. I mean the balloon was tied to him!

And one more from Sunday night:

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DADDY!!

Today is my Daddy's birthday. It was great, we went to GG's, played with family and toys (everyone is always so happy to see me).
Even boy GG played dress up for us.

Even though it was Daddy's birthday, I got a new outfit. My grandma made it for me, I'm as sweet as a bowl of cherries.

Daddy got a yummy cake and everyone sang to him, that's my favorite part. I love my daddy! He plays with me like no one else. Happy 35th !

Houses, Guitar Lessons And Teeth

Here is our new house! We don't move in until the end of September, but it's still pretty. Those two trees in the back? Ours! Daddy and Danae are going to name them.

We have been practicing guitar. So far we have learned what direction to strum in (up and down - not left and right) and not to touch the tuning keys. It's important to remember that Danae is a participant, not a spectator.

We have aquired at least two new teeth. We sure do miss the baby tylenol at bed time.

Our new favorite thing is watching home movies on the computer. The blog movies aren't good enough. We have to get it right off the folder so it's big enough. We have even been taking our own movies (maybe next week?). Daddy is very silly in these movies!

Another new thing is grabbing Mommy or Daddy's hand and making them go where we want them to. Mommy has a pretty good resistance, but Daddy is a sucker for it everytime. He'd probably walk out into traffic!

We went to the tot-lot at the mall! It was much better than last time. Nobody cried (even when we tried to take another boy's balloon!) and there was only a little poop.

And a special birthday shout-out to Uncle Aaron! Happy Birthday Skeletor! May the power of Grayskull stay with you always!

It's a double birthday shout-out! We miss you Aunt Danna, Happy Birthday. You're always in our thoughts.

We Close On A House And Uncle Joey Comes To Visit

Uncle Joey came to visit! He read us stories (actually, stories about how to give your cat CPR), blew bubbles with us, and bounced us on the air mattress - all in the first hour he was here!
We also bought a house this morning (pictures next week)! It has a fenced yard and two (2) trees! We also went out to eat with Grandma Sue and Grandpa Jerry and Cousin Kaine and Girl GG. Aunt Kay and Emma even showed up (accidentally). We played on the pool table until all the balls fell in the holes. Then we were a little upset.
We have no pictures of these events because - sigh- we forgot the camera.
We also got our own shades! We're cool!

We Develop A Fondness For Movies And Go Down To One Nap

You are about to witness the ultimate weapon in passive resistance. Turn up your volume and prepare for:

The Screach!
The Screach may be employed for any reason and at anytime. Even if there wasn't a problem yesterday, it may be today, so be forewarned.

We have also gone down to one nap a day. We are a little crankier, but have you ever seen someone literally fall asleep?
We love movies! Finding Nemo is cool, and Shrek is alright. Still a little young for Willy Wonka and The Chocolate Factory (Daddy's favorite).

We are also loving the books (or buuts, as we're calling them)! Cousin Kaine's Disney book is number one, and number two is a tie between Where The Wild Things Are and The Big Red Barn. Daddy is looking forward to reading stories to her that don't have pictures.

Also a special good luck shout out to Uncle Tony and Jen P, Kristin, Scott And Jen's Mom. They are going to Europe for varied lengths of time. Good Luck and Have Fun!
