Super Mega Ultra Happy Thanksgiving!

We had a very happy Thanksgiving! We went to the GG's house and ate turkey and even had a little pumpkin pie!

Would you like some ham on that cheese?

And just as I was giving thanks that there was no snow....

Babygirl wanted nothing at all to do with snow. Mommy must have stood there with snow in her hand for five minutes and Danae would not touch it.

All that snow and cold has made Uncle Rusty slow and easy to photograph. You still have to be quick, though. That Wascawy Wusty.

There was wrestling, and pinching-of-cheeks, there may have even been naps involved.

Danae has discovered a new love...pens. Normal crayons no longer satisfy her artistic jones. So far it has been kept to her drawing books and a few articles of clothing. And she can only draw with pens by candlelight. On Thursdays.

Aunty Jen and Kaine brought Rex over to visit! Apparently it made us say the word "puppy" 50 times. A new record! The books say she should be able to say 50 words by 20 months. They are just all the same word.

A Much Better Mood.

Baby Girl is not sick, has no diaper rash, and doesn't appear to have any teeth coming in! Yay! We had an exciting week, have learned new words and have pushed many buttons and keys!
We inherited Grandma Sue's mini-organ that she had when she was a little girl. It apparently never needs tuning!

We have also tasted many exciting things!

Otis has finally found a safe spot.

We went to Grandma Fely's and Grandpa Ron's house and played with the puppies. Daddy brought the camera, just forgot to take it out of his pocket. Silly Daddy!
We went to the GG's house. Sometimes we play "follow-the-tube" to find the boy GG.

We know we get the sweet spot once we find him!

Little Cold, Little Monster!

We have had an interesting and uncomfortable week! First, somehow or another we got diaper rash so bad we could do anything but cry. Then we got a little cold, and we have been - sassy. All in all not good picture material.

Daddy's been wanting to do this thing for awhile, so enjoy, and more next week.

Super Mega Halloween Blog!

We had a wonderful week! We had a party, played on a train, visited all our neighbors, wore a puppy suit, and had Aunty Mel and Aunty Kat sleep on our floor!

We really didn't understand the whole Halloween concept...we thought we were just visiting everyone. Instead of Trick or Treat, we gave the first couple neighbors hugs and tried to walk in their houses. Nobody really minded though.

Aunty Jen and Kaine came over to help us with our first trick or treating.

Even Grandpa Ron and Grandma Fely helped!

At the end of the night, we couldn't understand what the whole thing was about - we don't even eat candy!

Eventually we just got tired and had to lay down for awhile.

The next day we went to Cheap Charlie's for dinner. There was coloring and CC sticks with cheese!

We played at the park with Aunty Kat and Mel and Mommy.

We played on the train...

But eventually we just got tired and had to lay down awhile - again.

We miss Aunty Kat and Aunty Mel, but we will see them again soon!

Happy Birthday Kaine!, Stickers, and Waiting For Aunty Kat And Aunty Mel

Happy 12th Birthday Kaine! There was a party with cake and presents and stickers! Daddy missed the fun, but Danae and Mommy filled him in with stories and cake.

Did I mention stickers? Because stickers are our new thing. It is amazing watching her take stickers from the old place and re-arrange them on a new place, then take them back. Apparently nothing in Minutia was self adhesive.

We are anxiously awating the arrival of Mrs. Latham and Mrs. Brown (A.k.a. Diaz and Mel). I'm told there will be margarittas involved.

This was the one that did it. Babygirl is finally sick of the camera. Thanks alot Mommy!

There are stickers involved in this video - be warned!

Phoenix is exactly a month old today! Yay eat, poop and sleep!

More Words, More Teeth and Pie!

We are a little late with the blog this week, Daddy had to watch the Colts whip up on the Jaguars last night (29-7). We have had a very exciting week! We are also saying "Cheese" and "Keys" and "GG". We're getting better at who's "Mommy" and who's "Daddy". I think she might have been mixing them up on purpose because it gets such rise out of us.
We got the Jungle Book on DVD. Not as thrilling as Finding Nemo or Cars, but Daddy is happy to report that Danae dances during the musical numbers - especially "I Wanna Walk Like You".
Daddy is sad to report that we have stopped rocking Danae to sleep at night. Mommy gets Danae to sleep at 8:45, but Daddy never got her down before 9:30. It was decided that Daddy's method might be detracting from over-all sleep management. Daddy misses rocking Babygirl dearly.
Mommy, Grandma Sue and the Girl GG made appple pies this week. Mommy has been pushing the pie for breakfast, lunch and dinner!

Mommy and Daddy went and got haircuts this morning from someone besides Aunty Cat for the first time in like, 8 years. Daddy is not happy with his haircut. Not Happy!

Our musical training is coming along nicely. So far we have mastered the guitar, drums, the bassoon and now the organ!

okay, maybe the bassoon hasn't been mastered yet, but we're only 17 months!

Parties, Pasta and Pumpkins!

We had a busy and wonderful week! We had a house-warming party, we went apple picking, we ate noodles , and we carved pumpkins!
We are also saying "mommy" indiscriminately to Mommy and Daddy. Daddy was a little worried, but he's over it now.
We seem to be picking up words at random. Some words stick, and some words don't. Everynight we're practicing "eye, nose, mouth, head, hair".

The house-warming party was excellent! Everyone seem to have a great time (although it was a little short on chairs). Danae even got to dance a little - her favorite thing to do in crowds!

The next day we went apple-picking with Grandpa Bill! In this picture, Mommy and Danae are actually hauling in the harvest apples for the season. It's true!

After a hard day of apple harvesting, nothing beats being pulled around by Kaine. It's good practice for football.

We also ate spaghetti for the first time!

And finally, the pumpkin carving, which we had absolutely no interest in whatsoever. We played with brooms most of the time, although I think we enjoyed being in the garage.
