Happy Birthday Mommy and Blake!

Happy 2nd Birthday Bebop! See that train? he has not let go of that for 2 days! "Jimms" aka James is now our new favorite toy!
We had a wonderful time at our party. We ate cake with "emems" and frosting, and we hugged everybody.

Nama made the choo-choo tracks on the walls and Mommy cut out the trains. It was a choo-choo-licious birthday.

Little man has to go get tubes put in his ears due to chronic ear infections. Daddy is not looking forward to seeing him under anaesthetic. The good part is that because he is on antibiotics right now, he will probably miss the strep throat that Mommy and 'Nae have. Always looking on the bright side!

'Nae, Foster and Sofia were all very patient waiting for cake (and opening presents and waiting their turns to play with presents and...)

Mommy made this excellent cake. Can you guess what it is?

We also threw Mommy a surprise party for her 35th birthday! She claims she knew it was coming, but Daddy snuck Shay into the mix too. Best idea ever! She not only knows how to bake a cake, but she used to own a bakery! Daddy and Danae decorated the cake.

Sick Again, Better Again, and Bathroom

So remember last blog, where the kids were sick with ear and sinus infections, Blakey sat and played with his train tracks and whined? Yeah, that again, with fevers and a stepped up antibiotic that made everyone poop. Daddy got it too, this time (not the poop, the sick!).
We were up most of the night coughing, so we would sack out during the day at random times.

Then we all got better! And we decided to fix the bathroom walls and tile the floor!

Oh, and while we were sick (with the fevers and the coughing and yada yada yada...) we had a blizzard! Our first trip out of the house was to shovel ourselves out!

Actually, Bebop did most of the shoveling. The kid's an animal with a snow shovel. He has also taken to hitting things and people. I don't know if it's anger (he does this at completely random times, and you never see him build up to it.) or just experimenting, but the fact is, Daddy got a tractor upside his head the other day. Not cool, man!
I know, maybe he's just getting back at us for making him wear pink snowpants.
Daddy is also going to go on record and say that this is the perfect snow angel.
Oh, And Mommy's (and Daddy's) friend Shay started a blog, you can see it here

It's Cold Out There!

We have had a rough couple weeks! Mommy and Blakey got a nasty cough (better now), Blake and Danae had ear and sinus infections respectively and Daddy's knee hurt. Alot. Alright, not really so much. Daddy made it through unscathed.
Bebop had a couple days there where all he did was play with his train tracks and whine. He has added quite a few more words to his vocabulary:

Blue (sounds like boo, usually in conjunction with Choo-Choo)

Choo-Choo

Bus

Stars

Moon

Thank You (Mommy swears she heard this)

Daddy (sounds like da-ee, both Mommy and Daddy are Da-ee)

Danae (sounds like day)

Fishies (sounds like shishies, will not make an "f" sound!)

Danae set up the aquarium that Aunty Jenny got her for Christmas, and she and Aunty Jenny went to the pet store to get fish! 'Nae picked 4 small ones instead of 2 big ones. We're down to 3 now, but we really love those 3!

We went out to First Night in Port Huron on New Year's Eve. They had different things going on in the city buildings, like a ventriloquist, and a
African drum circle. We liked the drum circle alot. Even Blakey didn't mind. Then...
We rode a bus! "Buh! Buh!". He was so thrilled until we got on. Then we got off and he was thrilled until we got on again. It was like he recognized the outside of the bus, but inside was like a regular room.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Merry Christmas! We had a wonderful and slightly hectic Christmas! We saw Grandma and Grandma and Uncle Dan at their house, and Pappa and Grandma Linda on Christmas Eve at Aunty Jenny's house, we had a nerf war with the other kids there (Danae actually faught the war, Daddy just helped her reload), and did not have too much of a fit on the way home!

Blakey did not get the hang of opening presents until December 26th. He's got it now though.

Danae understands presents perfectly. It's almost an art form. She informed Daddy that next year she would like presents to the top of the Christmas tree.

Christmas day we spent at the GG's. We did not get a picture of the table for some reason, but we had filet mignon for dinner! Best Christmas dinner ever!

Pre-Christmas Blog

Guess who we got a visit from? Great big Christmas props to Aunty Jen for inviting Santa over to see us.

The tree is decorated, the stockings are hung, things are wrapped (mostly). All that's left to survive the event with our Christmas cheer intact!
Blakey is really trying with the talking thing.
Words Bebop Can Say:
Boat (Sounds like bow)
No
Uh-Huh (I know, not a word, but it's the only affirmative we get)
That One
Moo (Again, not a word)
Meow
Juice
Baby (sounds like bay)
The Boy has to do everything, everything Danae does. What makes it worse is that Danae does some completely random things. Danae decides she gonna jump off the couch in the laundry basket (why!? no one knows why!) then Blake is most certainly next. 4-year-old legs are better for this than 2-year-old legs.

Danae Christmas tree...

Happy Thanksgiving, And "Shoe"!

Happy Thanksgiving! GG's this year was another gala affair. Mommy was in charge of mashed potatoes. They were awesome! Turns out, kids love playing under a table for some reason. And why are all toddler boys dressed up in sweater vests?

This is final proof that Aunty Jenn can have her picture taken without making a weird face. Kind-of.

The Foster and 'Nae Christmas album this year contains such classics as "I was Playing With That!" and "No!". It's in stores now!

Bebop is seriously trying to talk now. So far he says "shoe" on command, says "no" and shakes his head vigorously no matter what you ask him (that's hillarious) and tries really hard to say "elephant". Our favorite book is now "Go, Dog, Go!" (no board books!), and Daddy has caught him on two mornings trying to climb out of the crib.

And Mommy taught him how to zerbert.

Danae has discovered "beauty shots" on the camera, so we have two copies of every expression she is capable of making. This one is Daddy's favorite. She is absolutely loving school. She wants us to count off the days until she gets to go to school again. She made a new friend, Sidney, who came down with chicken pox (yikes!).
