Merry Christmas And Happy Birthday Pooh! (and Grandpa!)
Merry Christmas!
Danae decided that December 1st is now Pooh's birthday and we all must celebrate. Several times. In fact, Pooh's birthday is like Mardi Gras without the beads. There's the real birthday and the Pirate Birthday, and I think there was a fireworks birthday. Pooh is now 1!
Danae's kindergarten class made gingerbread houses and sang carols. She was even interviewed by the local paper.
The boy pooped on the potty! Thanks to the heroic efforts of Mommy, walking around the house with no pants on finally paid off! There were only 3 misses! And I'm hoping the exclamation points are hiding my utter horror in having to clean up poop from the floor. Mommy did it twice!

Happy Thanksgiving!
Happy Thanksgiving! For some reason, we brought the camera to thanksgiving, but failed utterly to take any pictures at all. It was very nice. Santa Clause came and delivered Christmas bags to the kids, and a new T.V. to the GGs!
Okay, the red paint on her nose is sparkle paint, so the kids in her class could be like Rudolph. Danae asked if it glowed in the dark, and her art teacher may have said something that could have been construed as a yes. Maybe.
So Danae wore this paint on her nose all day until bathtime, and right before we take a bath we go into a dark room to look in the mirror and it's not glowing. I have never seen a five-year-old so morally outraged!
"He lied!"
"Why would he say that?"
"I'm going to tell him tomorrow!"
I tied to tell her that maybe her art teacher didn't understand her question (or more likely, didn't think any of them would actually wear the paint on their nose all day.) Would not be swayed.
Paint washed off fine though.
Bebop is trying his hardest to read. He keeps asking "what does that say?" and pointing to words. Danae is just close enough to wanting to show off a little and read the words for Blake. I'm actually hoping Danae teaches Blake to read at 3 years old. Could happen!
Blake's new thing (and I will never get this on camera) is asking random people if they want to hear his song.
"You wanna hear my song?"
He swings his arms in a big slow circle and says "It"s about a maaaagical raaaaainbow!" and then proceeds to walk around the room and sing about whatever he sees.
This is Tooky Bella. Tooky Bella was the coolest thing for an entire afternoon.
We hope Aunt Kay feels better after her surgery. She can come over for suckers anytime.

Happy Halloween! Happy 16th Birthday Kaine! and Museum
We have had a wonderful month and we have had the camera for just about everything! We had a really good Halloween (Everybody was into trick or treating). We went to halloween at the park and we petted the camel and bunnies, We went to the Museum and Danae had her Fall Fun Fair at school.
Daddy was cowboy, Danae was a witch, Mommy was a witch, and Blake was either a Lion or a Mouse, depending on what day you asked him on. We had zero trouble with customes this year (yay!)
We had a Halloween party and everybody visited! We went trick or treating with Foster (who was also a cowboy - just a little bit better than Daddy's cowboy cosume)
Danae has started reading books to Blake! Not Victor Hugo novels or anything, but Go Dog Go is really fun when you all you have to do is turn the pages! She is also in Karate class. Last Monday we learned about stranger danger and how to give them a kung-fu kick in the head.
Bebop has begun to enjoy some "me" time before bath. We are peeing in the potty like a pro, but poop still seems a long way off. We have also begun to "fix" our trucks with a screwdriver. Turns out, everything needs a battery!
Happy Birthday Kaine! He turned 16 this year, and guess what he gets to do now.
The museum was educational in a lot of ways.
1) 2 and a half is just a bit too young to appreciate the masters
2) Five year olds simply have to touch everything, regardless of the number of times you told them not to
3) The best part of the museum is the picnic afterwords
