A Rough Start

Our New Friend (The Baby Oompa Loompa)
Yea, Blake has touch of the jaundice. His biliruben count is at 17 (down from 17.4!) but Mommy is steadfastly feeding him every two hours, and we're trying to catch the sun when it comes out. Other than that he is fine. A regular eating, pooping, sleeping machine.

He took the bottle no problem. Danae helped feed baby brother.Thursday, March 05, 2009
Introducing Blake Damon!
Blake Damon was born on March 5th at 1:27 pm. He weighed 6 pounds, 9 ounces and was 20 inches long!

Labor was (relatively) pain free and Mommy feels good. Danae and Daddy are at home tonight while Mommy and Blake stay at the hospital.
We actually left the camera in Danae's diaper bag, and Nama took her home for the night! We had to buy a disposable camera for the first 25 pictures.
Blake came out long and skinny. He looks just like Danae when she was born.
Daddy has the feeling that Blake will be a monk or a philosphy major. There's probably more money in being a monkDaddy has to go to bed now. Long day tommorow! I will write more later.

Someone Is Coming Today!
Mommy went to the doctor today for what was supposed to be a routine exam. Not so routine! The doctor said Mommy is running low on fluid, so we're off to the hospital to get induced! We don't even have the crib up yet, or a middle name picked out!
So we're all packed up and ready to go! See you soon!
