Happy Thanksgiving!

On Danae's first Thanksgiving we went to the G.G.s house! It was good. There was turkey and stuffing and mashed potatoes and a cranberry relish (that looked weird but was really good) and there was...
...rice cereal! Served from a Bert and Ernie bowl in our very own, brand-new exersaucer...

...that Aunty Jen broke a couple nails putting together. She swears it was worth it, but the look on her face when she walked through the door with it may have something a little different.

Danae had plenty to be thankful for! All the solid food she's been eating has finally given her enough strength to take down her cousin Kaine. She's gunning for you next, Rusty! Watch your back (or, really, the backs of your knees)!

Danae has mercy on Grandma Sue though. Or maybe she thinks Grandma Sue is a little too tough. For now.

We have added a new dish to our repertoire - green beans! Mommy purees them and adds a little magic Mommy milk and voila! Green mush!
Danae finally caught a kittie (Otis will never be the same - or at least the patch of his butt that was covered with hair won't be). Notice also - she's sitting up by herself! Yay!

Congratulations Kathy And Aaron! (And Grandpa Bill Feeds The Monkey)

Kathy and Aaron (Aka Diaz and Skeletor) tied the knot this Monday! Kathy is hyphenating so she will be Kathy Diaz -Power of Grayskull-Latham!

Grandpa Bill got turn to feed Danae, and guess what? He was really good at it! Much better than Daddy (and maybe just a tad better than Mommy - shhhhh!). There is , however, no way to keep the cereal from forming a beard around her mouth... Though when Daddy feeds her, she looks more like Santa Clause.
Grandma Linda got to play with her for a little while too while Daddy tried (and failed) to hook up their internet.

Our new bests friends are the kitties. Mommy says that when Danae starts crawling (which is gonna happen in the next ten minutes), it won't be to us, but after Tommy or Otis. She gets up on her knees and talks and yells and smiles at them - and they fly out of her reach. You can't really blame them though. On the few times she has gotten to them, she comes away with a handful of hair.

Danae has now become stronger than Mommy, It's official - no living being in the house is safe!
We went to Aunty Jen's friend's house to watch the Ohio State / Michigan game. Football is alright, but apparently this table is fantastic.
Aunty Jen is pretty fantastic too!
Sorry about your Wolver-somethings Mommy!

Danae Starts Wearing Stylish Hats and Solid Foods

That's right! Stylish hats! What could be finer? Oh, and we've started eating rice cereal with a spoon. In fact, the spoon itself has become an object of fascination, and leads to the aformentioned wearing of solid foods. Pretty soon nipples will be for babies (and won't Mommy be happy about that?). We have also started stringing together both vowels and consonants (adee, adee, adee). Nothing profound yet, but soon...

Sometimes we let Mommy sleep in a little, but only a little - and then we go in and squeeze her cheeks and pull her hair to remind her that we love her (ya ee ya ee ya ee)! We have actually started a rudimentary seperation anxiety - we cry if we see Mommy leave the room!

Congratulations Kelly and Tony!

This Saturday we went to Kelly and Tony's wedding. It was very nice! Danae saw the entire family (both Kelly's and Tony's). She was very happy to meet them all - except when they all applauded. She hated that.

Grandma Felly and Grandpa Ron both looked really sharp. Danae was more than happy to accent Grandma Fely's jacket. She thought the flowers were delicious.
She made Daddy look sharp too. See that handsome man standing in the backround? That's Uncle Dan!

Our newest, bestest thing now is rolling. We roll everywhere. If we see a toy out of our reach, we position our little body perpendicular to the object, and flip, flip , flip till we get it. There is really no point now to putting the mat down, because we're off it in a matter of seconds.
And just so you know, the entertainment center tastes delectable - mmmmm, pine.

Happy Halloween ! (And Happy Birthday Kaine!)

Can you guess what the monkey was for Halloween?

We had an exciting week! Saturday was Kaine's birthday, and we went to C.J. Barrymore's and played video games and at a bunch of chili-cheese foods (chili-cheese fries, chili-cheese dogs, etc)
Kaine loves him some chili.

Then on Sunday, we went to Aunt Karen's house for a pre-Halloween party. It was good! We saw cousins Zack and Nick and Mason and Morgan and Mommy got to watch football. We are sorry about your Vikings, Mommy!

Then on Halloween, we went to Grandma Sue's house and waited for trick-or-treaters to come so we could hand out bananas. Everyone knows trick-or-treaters love bananas!
Next Saturday we are going to watch Cousin Kelly get married! Mommy even bought us a pretty dress to wear to the wedding.
