Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving! For some reason, we brought the camera to thanksgiving, but failed utterly to take any pictures at all. It was very nice. Santa Clause came and delivered Christmas bags to the kids, and a new T.V. to the GGs!

Okay, the red paint on her nose is sparkle paint, so the kids in her class could be like Rudolph. Danae asked if it glowed in the dark, and her art teacher may have said something that could have been construed as a yes. Maybe.
So Danae wore this paint on her nose all day until bathtime, and right before we take a bath we go into a dark room to look in the mirror and it's not glowing. I have never seen a five-year-old so morally outraged!
"He lied!"
"Why would he say that?"
"I'm going to tell him tomorrow!"
I tied to tell her that maybe her art teacher didn't understand her question (or more likely, didn't think any of them would actually wear the paint on their nose all day.) Would not be swayed.
Paint washed off fine though.

Bebop is trying his hardest to read. He keeps asking "what does that say?" and pointing to words. Danae is just close enough to wanting to show off a little and read the words for Blake. I'm actually hoping Danae teaches Blake to read at 3 years old. Could happen!
Blake's new thing (and I will never get this on camera) is asking random people if they want to hear his song.
"You wanna hear my song?"
He swings his arms in a big slow circle and says "It"s about a maaaagical raaaaainbow!" and then proceeds to walk around the room and sing about whatever he sees.

This is Tooky Bella. Tooky Bella was the coolest thing for an entire afternoon.
We hope Aunt Kay feels better after her surgery. She can come over for suckers anytime.

Happy Halloween! Happy 16th Birthday Kaine! and Museum

We have had a wonderful month and we have had the camera for just about everything! We had a really good Halloween (Everybody was into trick or treating). We went to halloween at the park and we petted the camel and bunnies, We went to the Museum and Danae had her Fall Fun Fair at school.

Daddy was cowboy, Danae was a witch, Mommy was a witch, and Blake was either a Lion or a Mouse, depending on what day you asked him on. We had zero trouble with customes this year (yay!)
We had a Halloween party and everybody visited! We went trick or treating with Foster (who was also a cowboy - just a little bit better than Daddy's cowboy cosume)

Danae has started reading books to Blake! Not Victor Hugo novels or anything, but Go Dog Go is really fun when you all you have to do is turn the pages! She is also in Karate class. Last Monday we learned about stranger danger and how to give them a kung-fu kick in the head.

Bebop has begun to enjoy some "me" time before bath. We are peeing in the potty like a pro, but poop still seems a long way off. We have also begun to "fix" our trucks with a screwdriver. Turns out, everything needs a battery!

Happy Birthday Kaine! He turned 16 this year, and guess what he gets to do now.
The museum was educational in a lot of ways.

1) 2 and a half is just a bit too young to appreciate the masters
2) Five year olds simply have to touch everything, regardless of the number of times you told them not to
3) The best part of the museum is the picnic afterwords

Kindergarten And Many "Love You"s

We have had a hectic and wonderful month! So much so that we rarely had a chance to pull the camera out! Danae started kindergarten - morning classes, so we have to get everyone up by 7:30 and out the door by 8:10. Guess who really likes to dawdle in the morning? She really likes school, though. She has art class and music class and gym day and library day.
I think this is the last sunny day we have had. Fall is here and it's been 50-60 degrees out and rainy everyday! We have been to the play area in the mall alot in the last month. Occasionally, Daddy will let them out with umbrellas and jackets. Yesterday we went for a walk in the woods at GG's house!
Bebop has told Mommy and Daddy he loves them 20 times a day for about 2 weeks now. You know what? Never get tired of that! He also tells Otis and Danae, though Danae is less than impressed. She usually just tickles him 'til he squeals. Otis just takes the affection with his usual patience.
The boy is really into soap and washing his hands. Anything with a pump on it, really. All hand washing activities are usually a production, with filling up the sink with cold water, pumping the soap and splashing around.
Baby girl has recently discovered changing her clothes. Like, 5 times a day! School clothes in the morning, she will put her PJs on for rest time after lunch, then change her clothes to play, and if we go anywhere, she will change her clothes again so all the kids will say "Oooh la la" (her words)

For some reason, Danane wanted Mommy to take a picture of her while she was sleeping, to see how cuddly she was. I maybe wrong, but that don't look too cuddly to me!

I Saw A Beetle!

We have had a good couple weeks! Much swimming and swinging at the park. Both Danae and Blake graduated from their swim classes. Danae is very excited about starting kindergarten. I don't think Blake will be thrilled at the idea of Danae doing something that he isn't doing. We'll see!
Blake has a story! It goes like this:

"j'know what?"  Your know what?
"What?"
"I saw a beedo!" I saw a beetle!
"Where?"
"On the pwoch!" On the porch!
"What color was it?"
"Bwack a bwoo!" Black and blue!
I have heard this story a million times now, and I still love it. There are variations with a train now, as well.

On Thursdays Port Huron has "Rockin' The River". It's a free concert and every week they do different music styles. They have bounce houses and slides and bubbles. Bebop did not like the bounce house (he got a couple friction burns on his back because he couldn't keep his balance)!

Parade, Swim Class, and Uncle Joey Comes to Visit!

We are continuing to have a excellent summer! Danae graduated from beginners swim (now she is in the big pool!), Bebop is now in swim class too! We were in the Boat Week parade, we saw horses, we went to the beach, Danae learned to pump on the swings, everybody got haircuts. We are still working on teaching Danae to ride her bike without training wheels. Oh! And Uncle Joey came to vivist for a little while (he promised he was coming back in August.).

We went to Marysville beach on Sunday (no pictures!). Little Man is so certain he can swim. He did not want to hold Daddy's hand in the water, so Daddy had to keep a hand on his head at all times. He only went under once. Still did not learn his lesson.

Foster and Danae started a band in response to their Christmas album. Mostly they do Kiss covers. Little bit of Molly Hatchet.

Mommy has been letting Danae put Make-up on with her when she gets ready for work. She now puts the eye shadow on her eyes instead of her cheeks (which looked alot like a bruise!)

The last day of beginner's swim was a free day. We got to go in the big pool with the noodles and we almost, almost went off the diving board.

We miss you Uncle Joey! We hope to see you soon!
