Goodbye Aunty Jen and Cousin Kaine!

Aunty Jen and Cousin Kaine left today. They were very sad, but we will see them again soon!

We had fun while they were here. Danae had her first trip to the beach! She thought there was a lot of sand and very little milk.
Sometime over the last couple days, she became stronger than daddy, and insists on pushing him down whenever she can. Ever tried to get out of a baby sleeper hold? It ain't easy...

Aunty Jen was making fun of Danae, and her face stuck like that! I hope the security people at the airport have a sense of humor.

Kaine made a new friend. We call him Whiskers. Apparently, he pinches.

Aunty Jen And Kaine Come To Visit!

Aunty Jen and Cousin Kaine came to visit us! Aunty Jen might be a baby-whisperer. Danae thinks she's keen.

Danae looks up to Kaine - he's potty-trained, he doesn't smell like milk, and he eats with teeth.

(The Magic Bottle didn't turn out too magical after all. She now knows a nipple from plastic, and shows no hesitation or mercy when she lets you know she knows.)

We also had a little burger party, and Uncle Joey and Uncle Paul and Cousin Chick came. Danae doesn't eat burgers yet, but she heard that cows are good for other reasons.

Saturday and Sunday

Here are a couple experiments in holding and taking pictures.

Aunty Jen and Cousin Kaine are coming in a couple hours! Mommy thinks we have to wash Danae. She's just gonna get dirty again!
Tummy time is important and good, but it makes our neck tired.

Very, very tired.

You may be looking at the magic bottle. She slept for about 4 hours after this. Of course, she was up all night, but with the right timing...

B-Love Comes To Visit, Pretty Outfits, and We Buy A House In Colic Country (It's Been a Long Couple Days!)

Sorry for the delay. When I hold the baby, I can't take pictures of the baby. We're working on a neckstrap, voice-operated thingy. Maybe an implant.

Here's a quick recap, more later:

Baylee came to visit! She practically has a doctorate in babies. Her mom has two more at home!

Baylee turns 11 on July 21st, so Danae and Mommy and Melody had a pre-birthday celebration with her.

Sometime after that there was a terrible storm of crying and farting, which can only be summed up by this picture:

Then the sun came out and the flowers were singing and the birds were blooming and there was joy in the land again.

Yay!

Cathy's Chicken Cacciatori and Don Tony Goes Brazilian

Uncle Tony (who shall now be called Don Daversa, for he is the Godfather of our feminine child)
is going to Brazil until September. We took our first non-doctor related trip to say good bye to him. Bye Uncle Tony! We will see you soon!

Aunt Cathy came over and made a delicious Chicken Cacciatori for us. I think there was chicken in it! And some cacciatore, which was the delicious part. Plus the chicken.

Stimulation Time!

We had a Doctor's appointment today.
Danae Marie weighs 9 pounds and 3 ounces.

She is 21 inches tall.

She has a land speed of 0 miles per hour.

She's definitely a human baby.

She's composed of 80% water, 15% "other stuff" and 5% pure adorabilium.

She can be seen from space.

She has very little actual mass, but an exponentially increasing probability mass.

She glows in the dark.

She already knows the Canadian National Anthem and rudimentary sign language.

She has solved Chinese algebra.

She is officially "The Cat's Pajamas", selected by the Feline Sleepwear Association.

She's the president of Guam.
(OK, I made that one up)

She is immune to sarcasm.
