We Live In Michigan Now...

We made it. It was a little hairy (especially the part where we went down the mountain in the rain) but we got here in one piece - well, three pieces.

It's as cold as the coldest day in Florida every day
and it's only gonna get colder. Mommy and Daddy already bought winter coats but are afraid people will think we're wussies if we wear them too soon. Danae is completely covered (both figuratively and literally) as far as winter clothes go.

After the ordeal of the drive and unpacking, we have been taking it easy for the last couple days.

This is what Mommy saw for about 1,500 miles

Did you know that the continental breakfast comes with free milk? It does!

Let me tell you, after a long day of driving, even the crappiest hotel room is like an oasis. Otis and Tommy got to stretch, and Danae got to play with something besides her fingers - namely Mommy and Daddy.

We even saw the Kane family in Savannah! Baylee couldn't make it because she had to go to church (we missed you B-Love). Ashlee has teeth and knows where her butt is!

When we got here the power was off! Well, to be perfectly honest, we just couldn't find the power box for a couple hours - until after Aunty Jen went to the store and bought enough candles and flashlights for a hurricane. We found it then! Aunty Jen and Cousin Kaine even helped unpack the truck. They undid all of Uncle Tony "The Tetris Man"'s hard work. Good news Uncle Tony! Nothing broke that didn't break when we put it in!

Danae has even chosen her college football team, the Wolver-somethings.

We went to Cousin Kaines football game on Saturday. The weather was not kind. Around these parts, they call it "inclement". I call it cold and wet, and then cold some more
